Admin Instructions

ScreenJournal is comprised of a desktop app and a web dashboard. Follow these steps to get started as an administrator.

Web Dashboard (Accounts)

Getting Started

To start, go to dashboard.screenjournal.ai and register a business account. This will create an administrator user under the account for you to use.

Inviting Users

From the profile page, you can invite people to the application:

  1. Generate a new join code
  2. Share the code with your employees/coworkers, or send an invite directly via email
  3. Once they've registered on their end, as users under your account:
    • The user will appear in the "Pending Users" section
    • Accept the user, and they will be visible on the "Users" page
    • Reject the user if you did not invite them (i.e. a leaked join code). Refreshing the join code is advised in such a scenario

Desktop App

Installation

After setting up your account, everyone will need to install the desktop app. Installers for macOS and Windows can be found on our downloads page.

Login & Setup

Once installed, users should open the app. It will ask for login credentials; these are the same ones each user would have used when registering on the dashboard.

Starting Activity Tracking

To begin tracking activity:

  1. First ensure the status light in the bottom left is green ("Connected")
  2. Simply press the large start button to begin tracking
  3. After some time, activity should begin to be tracked

Organizations

You can create Organizations to group users together on the "Organisations" page.

Creating an Organization
  1. Press the "Add Organisation" button
  2. Enter a name and description (both required)
  3. Once created, the organization will appear on the page
Managing Users in Organizations

To manage users in an organization, first press "Show Details" on the organization.

To add a user:
  1. Press "Add User"
  2. Select a user that isn't currently in an organisation
To remove a user:Press the "Remove" button next to that user
Editing & Deleting Organizations
  • To edit: Press the "Edit" button to modify the organization's name or description
  • To delete: Press the "Delete" button to permanently remove the organization

Dashboard (Viewing Activity)

There are several different ways to view activity on this app:

Activity

  • View a timeline of activity for each user
  • View a weekly performance ranking of all users, with weekly metrics for each

Audio

Play back call audio and transcripts for each user.

Chat

Talk to an AI Agent about any of your activity data, or any user's data.

Reports

  • Generate activity/performance reports for any time period and any number of users
  • Generate weekly reports for a given organisation
  • (On profile page) Schedule weekly report emails
